Scammers and the people that pay them (aka me)
the law of compensation or the law common sense
Hello dear reader,
I hope the new year feels unique and expansive for you this 2023.
Happy full moon!
I felt a massive shift and have been enjoying the new year immensely.
My sincerest intent is to grow all three of my blogs this year. I know that blogging is a long game, and it will take time to see growth, but I'm all about enjoying the process and perfecting my methods and content this year. I am glad I have this space to share my journey with you.
Two days ago, I was browsing Pinterest and was taken in by a sales page promoting a quantum manifesting course. She details manifesting the things all women dream about, like their dream body, a multiple 6 figure income, dream friends, and a dream man.

( DO NOT BUY FROM THIS LINK. IT'S A SCAM.)
There's the sales page. It is compelling. I believed her and didn't do my research and bought the course.
Right after I paid and wasn't immediately directed to the course, I thought something was a little off. To be fair, she said to check your email, and the course info would be there. So I checked my email and realized that she was no course and just a receipt. I knew I had been scammed. My heart sank for a moment, and I was horrified.
I believe money to be an exchange of value, and for someone to take the money and not provide the value they promised is despicable. The premise of running a decent business also understands this. Upon further inspection of her online presence, there are lots of confusing things and lots of things that don't add up. Just ask the limited comments on her Instagram.
However, this brings me to my message today, be authentic in your dealings and creations this year.
I will heed my message and remember that as I create my online spaces this year. This substack is a place I’m excited to be able to push my creative boundaries, so stay tuned. :)
The sad thing is that I would've loved to take a quantum manifesting course. Maybe one day, when I master the principles of quantum manifesting, I'll launch my own course on it so other people can learn from me. That may be why I got scammed, to be pushed to create my own one day.
This brings me to my encouragement tip for this post if starting an online business or blog is something you're considering; my advice would be
Decide that building a blog and an online platform/presence is want you to want
Decide, be ready to show up as your authentic self, and be prepared for all that accompanies that choice.
I recommend spending some time with yourself and making sure you're okay with yourself, that you're not doing this external validation and that you know who you are
Take some time to acknowledge that you are a human who will evolve, and that includes an evolving online presence :)
Finally, I want to end this post with two questions for you, dear reader...
How will you be able to quantify this year?
How can you continue to provide value(free or paid) to your community?
( I encourage you to answer in the comments! That is where I will post my answer)
P.s
2023 is calling for me to show up and do my best, so there will be some branding and name changes coming soon :)
I will also change my posting schedule and brainstorm more for paid subscribers.
Also, let me know in the comments which post sounds the most exciting to you.

Thanks for reading and I will see you in the comments
Oceans of love to you my readers
Until next time,

Insightful story! Transparency is much appreciated 🙂
How will you be able to quantify this year?
Through books read, posts created here on this sub stack and on my blogs
and through money made!
How can you continue to provide value(free or paid) to your community?
I can provide value to my growing community here and the wider online community by committing to publishing helpful articles, and I can provide value to my community closer to home by being kind and committing to do the inner work so I can be a better person
